Thursday Jones Beach
Aaaand I got my Antalope, wahooo! Another rock’n show. Beginning the show with a divided sky was an appropriate fit and in my mind it helped the rain slow. It’s been a few days since I last updated the ol blog so I will give you a quick summery. This week of shows has been an amazing little journey into phish history. Thursday Jones Beach started off much like Tuesday in NY. A little traffic out of the city to the show, a little more rain but again it cleared up for the music.
Grind,The Divided Sky ,Ocelot ,The Squirming Coil, Punch You in the Eye, Dirt, NICU, Ghost, Run Like An Antelope
Water In The Sky ,Birds Of A Feather ,Drowned, Meatstick,Time Turns Elastic, Waste, You Enjoy Myself
E: Rock and Roll
The acupla to open reminded me of the old days, the divided well needed after the rain, the ocelot I like it a lot, the early coil very nice, the punch got everyone geared up, the dirt and nicu reminded me of boston 95 the ghost was funky but not dark and the Antelope rocked.
Second set was nicely done, fun to hear the Japanese meatstick, good times. It was still wet in the stands but encoring with the rock and roll dried things right up.
CashForYourExtra went well on Thursday. We set up the tent and ran into many folks who are using the site and have found 90 % of their tickets for this tour. Instead of taking kids numbers and connected them with each other we bought a bulletin board to post your trades. We have been taking the board and your postits to all the shows, for those who want to just stop by the tent and make a trade. Great to see us working together to keep tickets at face.
