Asheville

We arrived in the beautiful town of Asheville NC after a good days drive from Camden. This progressive little mountain town reminds me of Vermont. The landscape is very green, and the small bars, coffee shops and local art creates a vibrant sense of community. We setup the CashForYourExtra Tent on the side walk and many stopped in to post to the bulletin board. The Ashville ticket was by far the hardest ticket of the tour. Folks were willing to trade their Fox and Red Rocks without hesitation. This venue was extremely small, but up close and personal. Asheville is a personal favorite of mine, and a favorite to-date. An intimate night in a small venue. It started with an explosive kill devil and Trey mentions a sneak peak into Fishman’s journal from back in the day which reveled or inspired 4 classic tunes. During the dog faced, fish took his rest on center stage and the other greats soon were soon to follow. Mentions of tube, that rockin gumbo with funky coda, to Fish singing lengthwise. The bold as love, the new bluegrass cactus tune, backwards down and the energy of the rest of the night was well how do I say, perrrfect. $3 water, $5 beer, plenty of seats, cordial staff, and a rockin 2 sets of music. I thoroughly enjoyed this indoor show.

Kill Devil Falls, The Moma Dance, Sample In A Jar, Stash, Dog Faced Boy, Gumbo, Tube, Lengthwise, The Divided Sky, When The Cactus Is In Bloom, Bold As Love

Backwards Down the Number Line >Ghost >Fast Enough For You, Halleys Comet >Maze, Alaska, Theme From The Bottom, Golgi Apparatus, Possum
